DVD Rebuilder - утилита предназначенная для копирования и сжатия DVD-дисков. Несмотря на обилие утилит для ужатия DVD, лишь DVD ReBuilder способен сделать это достаточно качественно. Приложение может сделать точную копию DVD, включая меню, языковые переводы фильма, субтитры и т.д. DVD Rebuilder подготавливает DVD для записи и копирует его на PC, создавая свой проект, в котором и помещаются все данные, считанные с DVD-диска. Но можно скопировать и не все, а только нужные вам данные с DVD (напр. выбрать только нужный язык, убрать субтитры ). И, как упомяналось выше, при помощи DVD Rebuilder можно качественно ужать оригинальный DVD диск, который может быть объёмом более 10 Gb, для записи на обычную DVD-болванку объёмом 4.7 Gb. Такой диск уже можно будет просматривать на бытовом DVD-плейере. Во время работы для перекодирования видео, DVD Rebuilder может использовать следующие кодеки: CinemaCraft Encoder Basic/SP, QuEnc (ff mpeg) encoder и ReJig transcoder (какой-то из этих кодеков должен быть установлен в системе).
That's where DVD ReBuilder (DVD-RB) comes in. This program was built to bridge the gap between the incredibly easy but limited "one-click" solutions and the incredibly complex but high-quality methods of DVD ripping and backup. Another advantage of DVD-RB when compared to older methods is that it doesn't require access to an expensive authoring package. DVD-RB includes its own reauthoring engine that reconstructs the DVD in a way compatible with its original design.
Over the course of the past couple of years DVD ripping techniques have changed dramatically. Newer "one click" programs have made backing up a DVD a fairly simple process... but there is a significant trade-off. The quality that can be attained by even the best of these programs is poor in comparison to original techniques that used Cinemacraft Encoder, TMPGEnc, or other top-notch encoders. The reason is simple. When using one of these encoders the picture is rebuilt from scratch and optimized for the resulting bit rate. One-touch transcoders usually change quantization and/or motion info in order to lower the bit rate. This can result in pixelation and poor overall picture.

Changes in Version 1.06:
- Added support for DGDECODE v1.4.5. This update includes many enhancements/bug fixes and makes DVD-RB's support consistent with Neuron2's most current release. Support for MPEG2DEC3DG and DGDECODE v1.1.0 remains. This update includes a fix which corrects a rare problem in which an encoder may "freeze" while trying to encode a segment. The DVD-RB Installer now includes and installs DGDECODE v1.4.5 by default.
- Added coding for handling "garbage" sectors that were found to have caused problems during the PREPARE phase on at least one disc. Thanks to SpazzHH for finding a disc in which it was
repeatable.
- Modified the AVS position of the trim() command. Performing the trim after the insertion of some optional filters can give better results.
- Updated some cosmetic features for consistency. Changed slider for HC Bias, and added TextColor variable to CCE settings Skin.
- Corrected a Button Over Video (BOV) issue. In some very active streams BOV may not have been reproduced properly.
- Corrected an error in the REBUILD module that could misinterpret certain input streams and as a result, throw a "ERROR 006: DVD-RB...framecount differences" error.
- Fixed a problem in which an extremely unlikely set of circumstances might cause audio to move out of sync over the course of a segment.
- Fixed a bug in which remapping audio while set to "Movie-Only" mode would cause a Runtime Error 9.
- Added a module that performs key download via web in the event of direct connection failure.
- Removed annoying "VOB Count" warning in Movie-Only
modes.
