River Past PlayDV is a easy-to-use and flexible DV player. Now you can view your DV tape on your PC! PlayDV gives you the full control over the DV camcorder connected to your PC via 1394 iLink connection. You can play, pause, stop, rewind, fast forward, step backward, and step forward the tape the same way you control a VCR. Comparing to other software which limits the viewing area to a tiny thumbnail, PlayDV gives you a resizable playback window. You can maximize for the finest detail, or make it small so you can do your other productive work at the same time. PlayDV supports hog plugs. You can connect and disconnect the camcorder and it will detect the change automatically.
Just everyone has a webcam these days. It is great for video chat, and it can add some flare to your web site. However, the software which shipped with most of those little gadgets left a lot to be desired.
This may be surprising to a lot of people – a lot of those webcams ship with spyware and adware! It is very easy to verify. Download Adaware, and run it before and after the installation. The webcam hardware companies often bundle the software for free, and the software vendors have to find some way to make money, so we end up those annoying popup ads as the result.
