TXLSFile does not require Microsoft Excel installed.
TXLSFile supports MS Excel 97, 2000, XP, 2003 format (BIFF8).
XLS files produced by TXLSFile may be opened in Excel 2007.
XLS files produced by TXLSFile may be opened in OpenOffice.

Registered version :
The registered version contains a source code compatible with Borland Delphi 3-2007.
XLSExport components are distributed with TXLSFile library.
The product contains a complete documentation with a lot of samples.

Data handling :

+ добавлена возможность использования механизма "держать вместе"(KeepTogether/KeepChild/KeepHeader) в многоколоночном отчете
- исправлена ошибка с многоколоночной страницей, когда бэнд перекрывал PageHeader
- исправлена ошибка использования опции ReprintOnNewPage
+ добавлена возможность разбиения больших бэндов(больше чем высота страницы) по умолчанию
- внесены незначительные изменения в лицензионное соглашение

По мои наблюдениям это ощутимо только при солид сжатии от 500 файлов.
