Классика музыки ambient, альбом-легенда, стоящий на одной ступени с фундаментальной "Музыкой для аэропортов" Ино. Альбом в большей степени явился переломным для самого Роуча. Это одна из самых первых его работ, которая не подвержена какому-либо влиянию со стороны и которая, возможно, именно вследствие своей вызвала столь большой интерес публики. С каждым годом "Structures from Silence" обретают все новый и новый смысл, поражая своей теплотой и непосредственностью. В 2001-м году альбом был переиздан в более хорошем качестве.

В течение часа на альбоме представлено 3 композиции - "Reflections in Suspension", "Quiet Friend" и "Structures from Silence". Это очень томная, плавная электронная музыка, которая идеально слушается в сочетании с другими звуками, например, шумом дождя или свистом ветра. Монотонность произведений практически незаметна - если вы пытаетесь сосредоточиться на одном звуке, мелодия, пусть даже самая примитивная, переносит вас на другой уровень. Как и в работе Ино, здесь самым главным источником звука является тишина, наполняющая промежутки между синтезаторными вставками. Поэтому альбом и называется "Структуры из тишины" - именно их создает автор, используя синтезатор как инструмент.
